relaxation from ES

Does everyone else notice this relaxing sensation all over their body after taking the ES? It feels like my blood vessels and muscles are all relaxing as more blood flows through the area. I'm just curious as to how the ES exactly cause this. It's quite enjoyable, but doesn't quite make up for the nasty aftertaste still lingering on my tongue.
