Please Help - Iodine Not Working on FBD

Hi Everyone, this is my first time posting here but I have been reading this forum for quite a while. Last June I discovered a big lump which turned out to be a cyst in my breast. I ended up having it drained. I discovered from my own internet research after the fact that I have FBD. Fortunately I found this forum in looking for an alternative treatment and immediately ordered some Lugol's 5% and all of the companion nutrients.

I started out at around 5-6 drops and continued to increase the dose now generally remaining in the area of 8 drops per day with weekends off and the occasional week off for holidays and such. There have been a couple of occasions where I took higher amounts of Iodine 10 - 12 drops over a couple of weeks and for about 5 days I took 100mg worth. Part of my reluctance in staying over 10 drops is that I am prone to Acne and I found that I would break out pretty badly at that amount. I have always taken the Lugol's in water on an empty stomach either in the morning or late afternoon.

Unfortunately now after taking Iodine for almost 8 months I have had no improvement at all with the FBD. I kept waiting and hoping but still nothing. I am really hoping that some of you will have some insight for me as I am feeling really down about this.

I think the Iodine may be working in other ways because when I first began taking it my sleep improved dramatically. I used to get up several times per night but now I usually only awaken once. I also did get the bizarre, dark dreams that other posters on this forum have mentioned. As well I had a rash appear a few weeks into supplementation, which went away a few months ago. Finally, my past 3-4 periods have been heavier than normal and seem to continue to be getting heavier.

I'm not sure if this is related but over the course of supplementation my anxiety seems to be getting worse. I have always been an anxious sort, particulary about health matters but this is much worse than it has ever been in my life - hence my upset and despair that the FBD remains unchanged.

I would be so grateful for any insights or advice you can provide me with. I'm happy to provide more details if needed. I would also like to tell all the posters in this forum and the leaders Trapper and Wombat how much I appreciate each of you for sharing so much info and in such a nice way.
