to check for mercury issues. The Iodine docs all talk about how mercury gets chelated by iodine, but IMHO you are going to be much more efficient using a chelating agent like dmsa and ala which latch onto the mercury way stronger than Iodine can. Do you have an silver fillings?

and of course it is ok to take breaks, reduce your dose for awhile....
i had a client that was having hot flashes at 12.5 mg iodoral,so she backed off to 6.25mg and she was fine and then a month later she went up to 12.5 and no problems
