Re: scared - looking for advice

Hi Keri and welcome to our forum. Its sounds to me like you do have adrenal fatigue (AF). There are many causes of AF and many ways to treat it. The very first thing I suggest you do is get a 24 hour saliva cortisol test. Do this now as this will be invaluable later on. This will tell you if your cortisol is normal, high or low. This can have a big effect on the way you proceed with your treatment.

In the meantime you must stabilize your bloodsugar levels as this places huge stress on your adrenals. Eat frequently throughout the day, don't wait to get hungry. Try eat up to 30% saturated fat in your diet at this stage. Try eat raw dairy like butter, milk etc. Some people with AF follow the paleo diet. Google "western price foundation". Once you get your blood sugars under control you should get some relief.

Have you run any bloodwork besides the morning cortisol ?

As I said there many ways to treat AF, everyone is unique so it can be real trial and error for everyone. But treatment will differ if your cortisol is high or low.

Some people use adoptogens, some like vitamin B5, some megadose on vitamin c, some use antidepressants, some prefer hydrocortisone. Some swear by hair analysis, others coffee enema's.

I am sure many people will give you there suggestions, but remeber what works for one person does not mean it will work for the next. I recomend going through some of the old post the get an idea of what people are talking about.
