For a child that age if you can find a colon therapist in your area with experience treating children, I would strongly recommend a series of colonics to provide a thorough initial cleansing.
Despite what naysayers may say, colonics, when properly administered by a professional therapist, are not at all traumatic or uncomfortable.
If you use enemas, just use the old fashioned enema bag with a salt water solution. One half to one third ounce of water per pound of body weight, or a pint to a pint and a half for 47 lbs.
Be gentle and go slow. Don't hang the bag more than 12-18 inches above her hips. The water should be about 103 F at preparationtime. Let a little in at a time, and pause for a minute or so if she feels a cramp before proceeding.
