Don't worry too much about the surgery for his eyes.
We went to a eye doctor in Fl so I called my regular vet in MA. He is very straight forward and saved my dog from
having a 2nd surgery on his leg. His experience was that most even after the surgery dogs get glaucoma (that is painfull and our dog had it), he had seen it a lot, but an eye doctor won't tell you that.
So I asked him what he would do if it was his dog he said he would not do surgery.

I feel I kept my dog going by giving him iodine. Tweet
