Testosterone therapy for women with adrenal fatigue?

Hi All,

This is my first time posting on the board. I've had adrenal fatigue syndrome for three and a half years now, backed up with lab work that show extemely low functioning adrenal glands, and very low testosterone levels. My doctor did a lab test to measure my testosterone and my score was 13. He says that for someone my age it should've been 40 or higher.

He gave me DHEA and pregnenolone, thinking he'd let my body turn it into testosterone as needed, but we found that I'm estrogen-dominant, so my body just used the supplements to make more estrogen, which made me even more tired and I gained weight even though I didn't change anything else about my diet and exercise habits.

I asked him if I could start taking a low-dose of testosterone to see if that will help, but he said my body might just turn that into estrogen too.

I'm desperate and will try anything. Have you ever heard of an estrogen-dominant patient with low testosterone levels taking a testosterone supplement and gaining energy and well-being? I'd love to hear anyone's experience with hormone replacement to help solve adrenal fatigue. Thank you very much!
