Re: What You're Not Being Told
Yes. I feel very fortunate not to have been swallowed by 'the system’ that has nothing in place for people who are actually facing a "spiritual emergence", which is misinterpreted and labelled "psychiatric emergency".
I could have very easily been utterly destroyed, and instead, I was able to get through it--and later, to learn of the universal experience knows as spiritual emergence.
The word emergency conjures helplessness, fear and a belief that it's all 'out of my hands', and into someone else's. This mindset and worldview has eclipsed the power and strength that's inherent in "emergence". One little letter, and empires of devastation are wrought, and visited on multitudes! For broken bones and such, okay. Thank you for emergency rooms, and all that.
I wouldn't go quite as far as calling all "schizophrenics"
"shamans", but many must surely be 'locked' in what amounts to a stuck emergence. In that regard, yes.
It is amazing, ironic actually, that in the West, there is such spiritual impoverishment. Even a poverty-mentality. Bigtime.
