Re: My two cents
I had no intention of relating anything back to one moderator, and I am disappointed that you think that way. The issues of the abuse of the anonymous number function, and in particular the abuse of the privacy manager function, is what I have a great deal of concern about.
These functions have been abused by members and moderators alike, and not used for the reasons these functions were created for.
The intention may not be dishonest, but it certainly appears that way, on the forums. Posting under the moderator name, ie: dbmoderator, or moderator5A5, is a great way to let people know who the moderators are, and a member should be able to contact a moderator privately to express a concern. If a moderator wants to post as a member on a forum they moderate, they should be up front about it, not hide behind fake user numbers or names.
If a moderator is going to delete posts, they should be accountable for this, and at least give a warning before they destroy someone's posts. People should also be aware that the moderator is the one deleting posts, as this has led to confusion with at least one poster, who's posts were getting deleted and who had no idea what was going on. This is in fact the reason for the original post of mine.
Its all about owning what you post. My opinion is, if you don't want to own it, don't post it.
