Interesting Grz. Can't say I completely understand everything, but the whole field of gene research is fascinating. And we certainly don't know everything. Not by a long shot. I do think there is some validity to the concept of the vertical tree - but I also think it is way more complicated then that.

It is sort of weird that we know more about the intricate going on's of a rocket that gets hurtled into space then we do about the human body. The human body, or even an animal's body, is the most complex thing on earth. And after many years of study we still are guessing about a lot of things. Well most things. Gene research holds much potential. Why is Keith Richards still alive at 66 with all of the abuse to his body while a kid can die of cancer at age 10? Hopefully we can figure out that question some day. And hopefuly there are people researching the horizontal gene aspect of life. How much has it had an effect? I certainly would be interested to know. Sounds like a case for the "Geek Squad". No offense intended. Just that it is out of my realm...
