Re: Could it ALL be mirena? Is it too late for me?
Definitely the Mirena. I've had mine out for 2 1/2 years, and I feel SOO much better, but my recovery did take awhile. Here are the symptoms that I had in common:
Distorted vision for a couple seconds. It's like a sudden dizziness like I'm going to pass out that comes out of nowhere and goes away right away. Freaks me out every time, especially when I'm driving. This only happens rarely now.
Vertigo and lightheadedness. Pretty much gone now.
Panic attacks and anxiety - they seem to be physical, not as much emotional for me. I could be sitting there zoning out thinking about nothing when it happens. These have improved greatly, but I do feel a little bit of anxiety at times still.
High blood pressure. I had to be on bp medication for several months at first. 2 1/2 years after removal, I still get occasional bp spikes, but for the most part it's back to normal.
The sooner you get your Mirena removed, the sooner you'll start recovering. It can be a long road, but you WILL get better. Good luck and keep posting.
