There has been approval by the government here in Aus, for a giant coal seam gas project in Queensland. There are already environmental problems with this gas extraction, and yet they are still pushing ahead with this. The farmers and others in the areas where they will have this project, are protesting, as it will lower the water table by a huge amount, it will cause benzene and other chemicals to enter the water system, (and in fact already has done), and it destroys arable land.

Corporations are into short term profit for the few, at the expense of the lives of the many. The governments that feed off these corporations, will let them get away with murder, literally.

It is time to move on, absolutely.
