Side effects but cant salt load..question

Hi

I have started taking Idoral pills because the dr wants to put me on medication for my thyroid but I want to try Iodine first.

Anyway, I can not take the idoral very well because my back, neck, shoulders, (other places too but those are the worst) breaks out with boil/ Acne type bumps. No matter how much I back off...like only one pill every 4 days, it still happens and they hurt. Well not hurt but where my bra strap rubs them those hurt.

Anyway, I have high blood pressure. How does one deal with the effects if they cant salt load? I am on restricted salt, so no way can I do it.

If you have any suggestions I would so much appreciate it.
