juicing with a blender?

I'm starting on a juicing regime, only going to consume fresh organic juiced veggies, maybe some granny smith apples an lemons for taste.

I dont have much money, Can I just blend everything in the blender then run it through a cheese cloth to filter out just the juice?


I will probably need a better blender but I have one now an want to start immediately.
