Did you see the articles I posted ??
They say intestinal motility at night.
It makes some sense Antibiotics can cause SIBO but there is one thing I don't understand. If SIBO is an overgrowth of bacterias in the small bowel ( no translocation ), having the normal body mechanisms to clean the small bowel such as normal bowel motility and contractions, normal enzymes and acid secretion ( HCL ) How is possible you get an overgrowth in the small bowel ??? My CDSA showed Lactobacillus 3+ and benefical E. Coli 3+ and these two species colonize the small bowel as well as the colon. I mean how is possible I can have SIBO caused by pathogenic bacterial especies ?? What I understand is HCL, bile salts, and bicarbonate secretions plus bowel motility keep the small bowel with low bacterial population. Even if you take Antibiotics , if some of these problems aren't present, a temporary ovegrowth of bacterias should be corrected by the proper body mechanisms.
