I am trying sauerkraut again and it is still bothering my stomach when I eat it. I used to have reflux but since changing my diet, it has gone away. But when I eat sauerkraut, I get a burning sensation in my stomach. I also get this when I take fermented Cod Liver Oil. Could it have something to do with lactic acid that is produced during the fermentation period? Neither cabbage nor regular CLO bother my stomach.
Someone suggested I try HCl tablets to raise my acid level but my stomach burns when I take those as well.
