If only we had doctors we could depend on to get to the root of our problems would we not be forced to do our own research and hang on relentlessly to what we think could be the root of our problems...

It is humiliating going from doctor to doctor only to be told you have allergies or its all in your head - all you need is an antidepressent. My family physician refused to believe that I even had candida as a symptom. How could he possibly want to dig deeper when he only believed candida to exist in an ICU or AIDs patient? That someone who was walking and talking could not possibly be experiencing a severe, systematic yeast infection (we are talking sinuses, bowels, mouth and throat, bladder, vaginal, and who knows where else...) ? One ENT told me I had acid reflux .. that's how he explained the constant sinus drainage in the back of my throat... he wouldn't even examine at me because he noted that the CT scan looked clear.. so, yes, severe candida in the sinuses apparently doesn't show up on a CT scan...

The only thing all of those doctors could do for me was give me an Antibiotic or a steroid, which made me more ill... Unfortunately, we are sometimes forced to take this journey back to health on our own... it sucks and its sad. But thank heavens for this site. It doesn't always
provide us perfect answers, but its alot better than us
being stranded on our own with nowhere else to go. I've
learned so much from curezone.

As much as I've learned from here though, I still was on the wrong track. Finding an MD who practices holistic medicine was the turning point for me. Without my doc, I would have not found the severe vitamin B12 deficiency (It didn't show up in the bloodwork and I was already taking b12 supplements) or the leaky gut/ food intolerance issues, or the high metal load, or the insufficent detoxification liver pathways, etc. And if I did eventually figure this out for myself, it would have taken me a whole lot longer....
