Yes, I'm not convinced the vitamin C actually kills significant bacteria in the bowel. Just because symptoms improve is not proof it kills anything. I think the bacterial overgrowth is causing increased cortisol. The vitamin C may simply be reducing cortisol, by acting on the adrenal glands, or by some other means. I have an open mind about all this. I'm not even sure it's really helping me. I'm pretty anxious this morning.
