The magnesium itself might help you relax enough to be able to sleep!
I don't know what is keeping you awake, but here are a couple of things that help me sleep:
(First, decide to stay in bed and keep your eyes closed!)
1) putting a light, but dark (in color) scarf over my eyes. The weight itself on my eyelids brings on drowsiness. And if there's any light bothering you, this will do the trick.
2) a white noise machine is very lulling. Find a noise you like. I just have an ocean-y roar on.
But do try just the mag with out the L-Trip. It really might be enough.
