Re: Zinc, how to bind mercury and DMSA for copper toxicity

Hey! Thanks so much for your input.

I have posted to Autism-Mercury yahoo group but I will do the same with the Frequent low dose group once I get he confirmation e-mail to join. How do I e-mail to livingnewtwork? Is there a link on the website, cus I can't see it.

----FDC group is much better the autism group is mostly parents asking what to do with their kids rather than strictly chelation protocol and questions. Send your hair test to: living@livingnetwork.co.za. He will take out your name and all information about you and post it on the livingnetwork site. Once it's posted link it to the FDC group.

Wouldn't it be better to get rid of the body burden of mercury first before ALA?

Your thought on dandelion are interesting as it really helps me out with the headaches. I have seen it suggested here n curezone cutler forum. I guess I'm going to HAVE to try some glycine to see if that helps if dandelion is real bad. I think a trip to the health store on monday for ALA too.

----Dandelion is not suggested by Andy as it is irritating to the liver. It does increase bile flow but does so by irritating the liver. We want to increase bile flow with things that don't irritate the liver such as milk thistle, glycine, taurine, lecithin. Kirkmanlabs sells ALA in 25mg doses which is what I and most people use. The only company to sell doses that small.

Yes sorry to confuse...250mg per cycle i.e approx 40 mg 6 times a day (by splitting a 250mg capsule) at night too. Not 250mg per dose! Regarding the fact you have said I should be taking DMSA and ALA...in what dosages? Seeing as I am currently taking the above amount of DMSA what dosage do you suggest for ALA?

----If you have had no exposure to mercury for 3 months I would start with 12.5mg of both ALA and DMSA. YOu should tolerate that but you want to be careful as too high a dose can make you sick. There's no reason to go over 1/2mg per pound of body weight. So if your say 100lbs then your maximum dose should be 50mg unless you know you tolerate more in which case 1mg/lb of body weight is OK. DMSA carries the risk of neutropenia so I'd be sure to keep that at no more than 1/2mg/lb.

Only problem with the lecithin is I am intolerant to soy (get very fatigued).

----Definitely avoid the lecithin then.

Thanks so much.
