Re: Got this message on "the budget" and RAP

I was just wondering if you’d heard from your talkshoe sources that RAP is fully financed now. Las time I heard, Tim was working on that. Or have you heard anything about a banking holiday coming, or about the 8 to 1 conversion. Last time I heard it was going to be more like a 2 to 1 conversion.

The only thing I can find on the annual budget is his proposals from last February, which is just a wish list. I know for sure there hasn't been a budget passed for 2011.

I found this on the ‘missing budget”. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/09/10/economic-uncertainty-aggravated-mi...

They try to down play everything saying this has happened 5 times before and so on. They say Congress can pass a "continuing resolution" to keep the government going, but none have been passed. "House lawmakers have succeeded in passing just two of the 12 appropriations bills for 2011, and none have been through the full Senate." The bills that cleared the house were the transportation and military bills.

Anyway, I’ve never really watched this process before, and have heard from several sources that the Fed and government are broke, so I was wondering if you’d heard anything more about this from your sources at talkshoe one way or the other. I'm just trying to stay ahead of the avalanche we all know is coming down the slopes at some point. Not that I want to stop it. I just don't want to get run over by it. :-)
