Re: Sad =(

as a jump start fasting is great, as a taste re-educator and detoxer, the best, but if you want to maintain a normal/fast metabolism while dropping a lotta weight, its better to do it slowly.

if you really want to lose weight you need to do some ground work first. get a food diary, spend 1 or 2 mths finding out 'precisely' how many calories you avg each day to maintain the weight you are now - and remember, de nial isn't a river in egypt ;-)

take your time enjoy these months :-)

then start. reduce that 'daily' avg by a mere 50 or 100 cals. this means you'll lose hardly anything the first month but you'll have done it without the body 'crying'. the next mth drop another 50-100 cals off your new daily avg and on and on etc.

take a couple a years.

you see obesity has gone beyond just being an emotional food addiction (even tho that started it). the amounts the body now metabolizes have become its 'normal appetite habit' so you have to run with/respect that now. the body isn't capable of changing on the spur of the moment like an emotional whim, you have to mollycoddle it s-l-o-w-l-y into to a new 'appetite habit' or its gonna *give-you-hell*.

plain and simple if you don't wanna fight on the journey to health, then stand aside, and let the body rule. it is after all only sense-able.
