Re: Sad =(
But I wouldn't avoid fat completely as some fats are essential to health and why they are called EFA's or (Essential Fatty Acids).
The ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3 is usually out of balance and especially so on the SAD.
So we usually need to increase our consumption of good sources of Omega 3 such as are oily fish, flax seeds, flax oils, walnuts, avocados and so on.
The problem with fish though is that it can be highly polluted with mercury and other toxins.
I would also limit your intake of starchy vegetables and wholegrains (other culprits for weightloss problems).....cooked carrots, corn, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, butternut squash, acorn squash, winter squash,
chestnuts, parsnips, rutabagas, turnips, water chestnuts, yams, and pumpkins.
Grains include barley, buckwheat, millet, oats, quinoa, brown rice, and wild rice.
Personally I eat approx..........
Raw nuts and seeds (1
oz. max. per day)
Avocado (2
oz. max. per day)
Ground flaxseed (1 tablespoon per day)
