Re: can't breathe--pulmonologist says its asthma, I think otherwise.

Just saw your message and wanted to mention a few things to you. I'm not a doctor but I have some experience with both asthma, allergies and anxiety.

Allergic people tend to have asthma, as the knowledgable person mentioned above. I'm allergic to everything - plants, animals, foods. I had severe asthma from when I was a toddler until mid twenties. I was hopitalized for asthma as a child at least half a dozen times. I know the feeling of having your chest under an anvil - it's frightening and gives you anxiety.

For my asthma, I discovered that once I removed the food allergies I was totally unaware of, my immune system calmed down and i no longer needed inhalers. In addition, my seasonal allergies stopped bothering me. No asthma, hives, or taking allegra any more. I recommend you look into your diet as your immune system is probably overloaded by all the allergens.

Aloe, liguid form, can clear the lungs quite miraculously for the mucus. Also, dairy causes a lot of mucus so avoid it.

RE: Anxiety - panic - this can cause a similar feeling in the chest that seems similar to the asthma except a panic attack only last ten minutes. An asthma attack can last a lot longer. Meditation helps and also if it's bad enough some low dose valium helps. - For me anyway.

Best of luck!!!
