What is going on in your back yard? Please post about what is happening in your area, and what you would like to see happening :)

In my area, there is exploration for geothermal power generation sites, we are also on course for 100% wind power by 2020.

I would like to see the phasing out of all coal fired power stations in my state, and eventually the whole country, and I would like to see more investment in wave and tidal power.
