Re: Hormone Hell

Well of what i remember is that keeping the liver healthy helps as this helps get rid of excess eostrogen. So if excess ostrogen suppresses thryoid, then that can cause hypothyroid and weight gain. Mine started around the menopause so that fits.

I took those creams for awhile. But i got scared and stopped. It is not wise to mess with your hormones by adding this and that.

I've been through the menopause, and now my mood is fairly stable, apart from the hypo i feel quite balanced emotionally. I do believe good nutrition is the answer. When i was younger, if i ate bad, i really noticed the difference in my mood once a month, as oppossed to when i ate right. In fact the difference was very marked. If i ate right for few months i sailed through that time of the month, if not, i was emotionally out of control.

So young girls eating all this junk food aren't doing themselves a favour.
