Re: Iodine Update..

About the Zinc. Those type of statements are made about nearly every mineral and vitamin on the internet. You'll probably lose hair if you are deficient in any vitamin/mineral. What makes you think that I might be deficient in zinc rather than Inositol which is also mentioned on the same page on that website.

Also could you tell me any specific timeline to when I should take these supplements?. I've heard to take Selenium and Vitamin C at different times to Iodine. Now, you say zinc should be taken away from magnesium. What supplements can be taken together?.

Another question I have is how many times can I salt load in one day and for how long should I salt load?. Can the excess salt be dangerous?.

As for your patients, it is interesting that you haven't dealt with many men my age. I doubt I can relate to the 10 year old girl, my case looks like premature Male Pattern Baldness but also with diffuse thinning. Have you dealt with anybody who has a itchy scalp without any signs of a skin disorder?. Also, with the men do you see a high percentage of them suffering hair loss?.

What is Borax's role in this regimen?. Am I the first one to be prescribed this topical by you?. I've tried a multitude of complex shampoos to combat hair loss and inflammation and I'm pretty sure they're all legitimate, I'm pretty good at noticing snake oils. What makes you think that this topical will work?. I've always wanted to try topical Iodine, I just thought that Iosol probably wasn't the best Iodine to use, but since I won't be able to get my hands on Lugols or any other Iodine for a while, how many drops of Iosol do you think would be efficient?.

As for the Flouride, I don't really know how to avoid this. Any tips?. Toothpaste?.

Thanks for all your help Ginagirl!.

I don't know if that really applies to me. Those cases look more like Alopecia Areata than Androgentic Alopecia. I don't have any patches which are usually associated with Autoimmune attacks on follicles.
