Leaky Gut/Candida plan - need advice

Hey guys,

Currently undergoing a detox cleanse to try battle and rid myself of Leaky Gut/Candida. I was diagnosed as gluten, yeast, and dairy intolerant last year. I've since eliminated all gluten and dairy from my diet, along with caffeine. I also know I have Candida and Leaky Gut. My symptoms aren't overly bad, mainly sinus related. I'm hoping that by tackling these two, I can finally reintroduce some foods and stability back into my life. I accept there's a lot of stuff I will need to avoid forever. Besides a basic, healthy diet, here's a few things I'd like to be able to consume in future - a 'diet-goal' if you will:

- Organic cereal with almond or rice milk (brown, if available here in my country). Currently avoid due to Sugar in the cereal.
- Some black coffee, cold brewed (removes 70% of the acid)
- Some Sugar and 'healthy' desserts (e.g 'So Delicious' coconut ice cream)
- Small amounts of alcohol. Vodka and sparkling water if beer is too much.

This site is great, but the sheer volume of information and opinions can be overwhelming, and sometimes even contradictory. There comes a point when you have to proceed, making many choices in relation supplements etc. Based on the research I've done, my plan is as follows (in general order, some steps overlap):

BOWEL CLEANSE / DETOX / DIET
- Candida diet. Only eating things like chicken, some brown rice pasta, lemons, limes, coconut oil, herbal tea, and water. Avoiding nightshade vegetables as these are said to affect Leaky Gut.
- Two PnB shakes daily for two weeks.
- 1 month of 'Paragone' to tackle any parasites. Also said to help battle Candida.

LIVER FLUSH
Perform after initial detox. Water, garlic, and ginger. Three times daily for one week.

PROBIOTICS
After the detox, I've read it's important to replenish the body with good bacteria. However, I've also heard it's bad to use too much before repairing the Leaky Gut. There's also contrasting reports on the various different probiotics out there, including the possible dangers of some. I've decided to go with 'Culturelle'. It receives generally positive reviews, and is said to survive the stomach acids en route.

Now, as I'm tackling the Candida before Leaky Gut, would it be wise to only take a small amount of probiotics initially? For example, one Culturelle every three days as opposed to daily?

ANTIFUNGALS
Great for killing Candida, yet may exacerbate Leaky Gut. Therefore, I've been using some garlic and coconut oil.

TREAT LEAKY GUT
Again, there's a vast number of supplements and recommendations out there. I've narrowed it down to:
- L-Glutamine
- N-Acetyl Glucosamine
- MSM
- Slippery Elm

I hope that after following the steps above, I can significantly repair Leaky Gut in 1-2 months with these supplements. Do I need to continue taking the supplements afterwards? I don't mind taking them occasionally for maintenance, but to make them part of my everyday intake is expensive. I don't want to wake up every morning day taking 20 different tablets and powders.

AFTER LEAKY GUT TREATMENT / MAINTENANCE
- Maintain diet, only reintroducing some of the items at the top of the page.
- Course of probiotics to fully replenish bacteria (again, afterwards I'd like to only take these occasionally, not every single day)
- Daily multi-vitamin, Solgar VM-75 (which I've been taking throughout, and will continue to take forever).

I know the post is a bit sprawled, but a lot of the steps seem to overlap. However, based on what I've said, does this sound like a good/realistic plan of action? Is there any advice or information you guys can add? Anywhere I've been mislead or anything I'm forgetting? I've also read about digestive ensymzes, but have yet to include them.

Any feedback greatly appreciated,
JC
