The thing about Iodine is it is very powerful and great for detoxing bromide and flouride. Bromide toxicity can cause cystic acne. Those toxins were stored in the tissues because your body wasn't equipped to take care of them at that time...but now the Iodine is trying to usher them out and you got a Herx and it shows in your skin..it will go away as you acclamate to the Iodine..

I would ask Trapper about your dosages he's very knowledgeable on that.

I would also do a 30 day Colon Cleanse such as Dr. Schulze 's IF#2 and IF#1. They will cleanse the bowel, draw our poisons/toxins/heavy metals, and help with your overall endocrine system because that will help heal the leaky gut you have (from Candida)
