Is This My Kidneys?

I have had this small pain in the middle of my back, on either side for some time now. However, it was never a debilitating issue.

Well, I went to the masseuse recently because of all my muscle pains - they are so severe (from a car accident 1 1/2 years ago) and I thought it would help.

However, since going to her my back pain is so excruciatingly painful I want to die -really, I cannot bend even 1 inch downward and it is like a sharp carving knife going through my back into my body....I really have to scream. I cannot sit up in bed from a reclining position without agony and screaming in pain - and, on and on it goes - it has been this way for one week or more - I am now taking muscle relaxers which the neurologist had given me for the car accident - I never take drugs but I had these for an emergency and, that is what I am taking, with little result.

Question: Could this be my kidneys??? It is literally in the center of my back going across from side to side that whole strip of about 7 inches deep/high.... I must go back to the doctor tomorrow because I cannot take the pain but now I am scared. I was recently put on a diuretic with my BP medicine because my BP readings were so high - when they injected me with 2 diuretic injections, I lost 6 pounds overnight and for the first time in ages was able to bend, stoop with no problem at all. But this was before the horrible pain I am now in.

So, do you think the diuretic which I take 2/x day with the BP pill is responsible.?

Please, any input would be so appreciated - I have no confidence whatsoever in the medical profession in this country and would welcome your thoughts.

Thank you so very much and so sorry for the Odyssey above - but I wanted to give a clear picture for you.

Thank you.
