Re: Something different in the air?
Cisco, you can even make your own salt lamps, I make salt lamps from the magnesium salt blocks that are made in my area. The magnesium chloride salt is very common in the salt lakes around here, and is harvested and made into blocks for stock salt licks. Several herbs are also added to these blocks and give a really lovely smell. I use these blocks to make the lamps with. I use a higher wattage bulb in my lamps, than the ones that the manufacturer of the himalayan salt lamps, recommends, which give off greater heat.
I have a veritable forest of plants in my living room and kitchen, and they seem to thrive being in the same room as the salt lamps, compared to the plants in other rooms, must be some connection there.
I literally have a tree growing in my living room, which gives my grandkids no end of amusement. They think it is hilarious that their Nana has a tree growing in the house :)
Salt lamps also seem to prevent any mould growing in rooms that they are in, maybe Grz could shed some light on why that is so, I haven't been able to find much information on this.
