I just would like to add something. I just used, and am using activated charcoal for a brown recluse spider bite. Took about 12 capsules, within 24 hours, for the past few days. Hard lump is almost gone.

Side benefits I did not expect. Evidently, it is helping my body detoxify, too. Since I was a little girl, I always have had to rush to the bathroom, in a hurry. If I have an infection of any kind, I sometimes don't make it. Since I have been taking the activated charcoal, I have had no problem holding my urine, nor one mad dash to get to the toilet.

Two weeks ago, one of my grown sons, 36 yrs of age, was bitten repeatedly by brown recluse spiders, while trimming trees. He works so fast, he didn't notice. The next day, he noticed. We zapped the bite a few times, and used raw garlic on the wound, but I drained about 1/4 cup of pus and blood from a dime-sized wound on his arm, and a golf-ball sized one under his arm. There were several other bites, under his arm, and all over his arm. The activated charcoal he ingested seemed to be the beginning of the end of the infection. It was under so much pressure, that when I opened it up, with a sterilized needle, and pressed gently on the sides of the one under his arm, it "spurted" all over my clothing. Activated charcoal put on it, and in his body, cleared it up in another week. The scars cover the entire front of his arm, but the wounds are healed.

The pain was intense, under the arm. His, and mine. I have given birth at home to most of my eight children, but never felt anything as intense as the pain from that bite's infection.
