Re: Day 9 -- SOS 911--HELP... stomach is growling and I want to EAT

Hi Ashlyn! I read your post and can so identify with it. I too think I may have an addiction to food and that's one of the reasons for my fast. Over the past (almost) 2 years, I have went from 150 to 175. 3 years ago, I was 140 and pretty fit for my age. I had some major life changes such as moving to a new town and getting married. Before I moved I worked in a highrise and twice a day would walk up 20 flights of stairs and would also walk during my lunch hour. I did not fix large meals for dinner since it was just me. Once I moved, I stopped the exercising and started cooking a lot since I was married. Well, gradually I gained 35 lbs from then to now. I have noticed lately that I think about food a lot. I think about stuff that's bad for me and I think about when I can eat it. That's why I think I have an addiction and it's very embarrassing - haven't told anyone close to me. But, before it takes over me I want to break it and I am determined to do so. Yesterday was really hard for me (very exhausted) but I made it through and today is a new day. I'm aiming for 20 days but kind of taking it one day at a time. I hope that you are able to be strong and meet your goals. Keep me posted on your progress. Going to go jump on the scale now to get some more motivation. :)
