Mixed with acids, such as Lemon, ACV, etc... it forms other compounds... as it has a very weak bond.

About the other compounds you mention... any one of them can be found to be used beneficially and/or inside of living beings/plants... does this make them dangerous?

plants are known to utilize sulfur dioxide beneficially if grown in sulfur poor soils.

Sulfur dioxide readily oxidizes to sulfate... which is needed for protein metabolism, such as cysteine.

We must use common sense, and moderation in all things.
