Re: For me our minds are like an instrument for tactile sense..

It is necessary first to train the listening ear and other physical and non-physical perceptive input to detect and identify that inner voice out of the maelstrom of interference in which we live.

Takes a lot of meditation in the Silence to make the necessary distinctions. Progress will finally depend upon the character of the listener, and his/her ability to feel out 'priority' and apply balance to elements of their own structure of Power by means of Wisdom and Lovingness.

The external shaping attempts you describe become easily detectable with effective training. Then they disintegrate in priority to the negligible status of an attempt at "peer pressure", when faced with actual power. Minions of those forces don't like that :-). They are busy confusing power with aggression, which is erroneous thinking.

The best driving forces for spiritual evolution in my opinion are:
keen and benign curiosity,
strong perceptual and observational skills,
strength of character and
well-wishing on the part of the self as a responsible steward, combined with
artistic joy, and
the intestinal wherewithal to take action to move events for the sake of good.

Simple 'balance' is not enough, because there is a pendulum swinging. To go from the end of pendulum travel straight to a centerpoint of balance is against the forces of Nature- She requires an *equal and opposite* response.

It takes *action* in the opposite direction to compensate for and correct the navigational errors of mankind. You can press from above, or you can press from below. Either, if properly applied, is likely to work eventually, but both is better.

IOW pressure from either direction (i.e., above or below) can move things onto a better course (Better => whatever moves things toward mutual love and respect.)

This has been my experience.

I do not consider myself the last word on any of this, although it may come across as if I do. The keyboard does not lend itself to clarity without laborious overwork.

Be well,
