I posted it in case some CZer speaks N Korean or Russian and could track down any relevant info published in those languages, which I do not read. In case there is any.

I don't think finding the article, questioning it and asking for input on it qualifies for a label either. In fact, labelling it attenuates the free flow of information for examining possibilities.

It is true that this is a very emotional event for me, since every one in my very large family except for myself and one other is down there on the end of that peninsula (Meaning, there is only one road out) and will not leave. They think CNN is telling them the whole truth.

Myself, I want the d@mn thing stopped, and these imbecilic environmentally-murderous methods ceased being slopped all over the Gulf.

*How* it happened is a separate issue. I am inclined to agree with Zoe on that, which I basically sum up as a combination of cluster----s.

What does bother me is how few people seem concerned (or informed) about the millennium-level magnitude of this catastrophe.

So, folks reading this thread:
Can we please not label every piece of data different from our own point of view as one which must necessarily be of diminished intelligence? My worldview leaves room for lots of different mindsets. Each has value of its own, even if I do not agree with it, including that sorry, ragtag group of "elites" that must be tired by now of being trotted out.

No offense is intended to anyone with this post, so please don't take any. It's been a long day.
