Because of the media blackout we will
probably not know the full truth for
years to come. I do think, however, if
this were true, BP would be happy to
blame the Koreans and escape their
liability for this accident.

As it is, from the conversations of
those who survived, and the reality
that there were humongous risks taken,
I am still on the side of this being
an event precipitated by cutting
corners at every possible juncture,
and using sea water instead of "mud".

I suppose, if someone could get close
enough, readings could be taken off
the wreckage of the rig. There will
be time down the line to do this.
For now, stabilizing the well would
be a good goal, and seeing if the
actions of BP compromised the seafloor
or not. That is the burning question
in my mind.

North Korea would probably be bragging
about this if they did it too. They
would claim responsibility and that
might be blacked out here, but online
info would leak, just like it did for
the 9-11 stuff.
