I feel for you!! Been there... and am still there 4 years later! Although each of us is different, what works for me is to stay away from processed food... especially anything that is carbohydrates. So... I do not eat bread, pasta, anything with sugar, or that can change into Sugar in my system. I eat lots of vegetables and lean meat ( mostly chicken and fish with my red meat being venison that we process ourselves). My hot flashes have diminished by 80%. I tried bioidentical hormones... they did nothing. Ashwagandha actually helped me a great deal. Finding out what works for you might take some time. While you are seeking, just carry a foldable fan in your bag... it does help to have that breeze available when you need it!!
