Re: which water distiller. glass or stainless steel?

We are all water connoisseurs here! The waterwise distiller makes perfect tasting water. The residue left behind in the stainless steel container is quite shocking.

To test the effectiveness of the distiller, I re-distilled some water I had just distilled and the residue left behind the second time was zero. Which would indicate to me that it is nearly 100% effective in removing the gunk out of the water.

I have even distilled bottled water to see if it is as gross as tap water. Tap water in the UK leaves behind a thick, grainy brown sludge. Bottled water left behind a sort of fine white powder. I would drink bottled water any day over tap water despite the chemicals in plastic.

I would go for the countertop distiller with a glass collection jug. It makes 4 or 5 litres in around 4 hour or 5 hours. I think any distiller you choose will suck up a lot of electricity!
