Re: H. Pylori: Zinc with L-Carnosine or Zinc-Carnosine?

I'm not even sure I'm dealing with H. Pylori, but all I know is that I have a bad case of gastritis and bacterial overgrowth.

For me, even taking mastic gum for 2 days has been devastating and set me back because I noticed that anything antimicrobial makes my problem worse. The logic I make of that is that there is probably so few good bacteria in me that when something is anti-fungal it also kills the minimal good bacteria trying to make its job. Mastic gum, slippery elm, licorice all seem to have anti-microbial properties.

I effectively saw a correlation between iron intake and my problem. The more iron I take, the worse. Thinking it would help, I had almost zero iron for a couple of days (only white fish as protein source), but it made things worse. Perhaps good bacteria also needs iron.

I tried a bunch of probiotics, some in very high quantities. When they work I have a severe die-off, but I'm waiting with impatience for a die-off now, can't seem to make them work anymore.

Primal defense ended up having iron in it and made it worse. Ohhira's as carrageenan and made it worse. S. boulardii makes it worse for an unknown reason (like if the bad bacteria feeds on it).

Sauerkraut makes it worse because it irritates my stomach (the acid perhaps) and every time I irritate my stomach, things get worse.

Tried to fast for a couple of days, but it really didn't help (I took Ohhira's probiotic during the fast before I knew it made it worse, so it might be the reason why it didn't help).

Yogurt, cheese and kefir don't seem to help either. I also have to say I'm having difficulty not binging on them and binging also makes everything worse. Anytime I put too much food in my stomach at any giving time, I'm in for a set back.

I recently ordered the home test for H. Pylori and it turned out negative, but I know these are not always accurate.

Whatever I have seems the now affect my kidneys as well. It scares me a bit.

I saw a bunch of doctors, but they where all quacks looking at the wrong places and not listening to what I have to say.

Here is my hypothesis: Candida overgrowth so bad that it spread a bit to my kidneys and provoked gastritis. Every time I irritate my stomach, gastritis gets worse and candida gains power.

As lineup pointed out, it might also be some other parasite and I should get a stool test. However, whatever I'm having, I've been dealing with for the past 16 years. I use to keep it in check with yogurt consumption and cheese that caused constant die-off (fatigue, allergies, headaches). Wanting to fix my fatigue, allergies and headaches, I went on a raw food diet.

It didn't help at all, made it worse. I lost a lot of weight. The thing is, on the raw food diet, I didn't have allergies, headaches and fatigue anymore, but I was weak and underweight and my digestive system was a mess.

I discovered too late that the regular fermented products I used to consume (yogurt, cheese, ...) where giving me those allergies and headaches but they where die-off of trying to heal an underlining condition.

The problem started when I was young and during puberty I lost some of my hair and I my beard never grew. Later when I found out I was low in iron, I took some iron and I instantly had a surge of energy, muscle gain, new facial and body hair, better sexua| function, ... Like if I have been low in iron for years and years now and that for a couple of months all my cells could instantly produce way more energy and spend resource for growth. I had more Acne at that time too, but was also running hotter and sweating more, sleeping less. My whole machine was like on overdrive, I felt like superman for a couple of months.

Then, surely, the iron fed the bad bacteria enough for it to overpower me again and it has been downhill from that time. When I finally discovered that what I was experiencing was die-off and that if I would go through a ruff period of die-off and ate a diet that eliminated possible gut irritants and bad bacteria promoters, I would be fine once and for all. I discovered that too late though, because now, even with very high potency probiotics and the best diet (only meat, cooked vegies and good fats), I can't seem to shake things up.

I didn't know that, but my mother told me I had some Antibiotics once when I was young. I wonder if it's when it all started. I want to stay far far away from Antibiotics and I'm scared of them now.

Anyways, before I spend some more money into a stool test, I'm trying colostrum with Butyric Acid and mutaflor (beneficial e. coli). I know some people might be against those products, but bear in mind that I tried so many things over the years and that trial and error as been my only way to advance in my healing.

I'm sure the growth factors in colostrum can also help with my failure to thrive (underweight, few hair, no facial hair,...) and the Butyric Acid is the by-product of good flora that the gut lining uses to heal, so it looks good to me as I must be producing very low amounts of it. Note that I choose a goat's colostrum coming from pastured, grass-fed goats.

Mutaflor is said to be really safe, even for pregnant women and children and is not the same as e-coli responsible for food poisoning. I read that other beneficial bacterias need the help of e-coli to colonize and that a lot of people have low levels of e-coli.

Anyway, this is a long story, but I felt I had to write it down in case someone had an idea of something that would help.

I now dream of waking up all tired, sneezing, with red eyes and a big headache (die-off). I would mean that I would finally be working in the right direction and not regressing. Also, when I have die-off, my digestion always seem to instantly get better.

Thanks for any help!
