Re: Advice

SSRI's help because you most likely have a neurotransmitter deficiency caused by the AF in connection with protein digestion and absorption.

The SSRI's will work initially, but will eventually stop working as the serotonin receptors in your brain became desensitized to the recycled serotonin (sort of like insulin resistance).

Two tests that I recommend are the adrenal index saliva test and a neurotransmitter blood test. Then you'll know exactly where you're at in terms of hormone and neurotransmitter levels and what to take to optimize their function.

Dr. Lam is good (although bloody expensive) but his primary focus is the adrenals - but you have to consider other causes of your symptoms such as Lyme disease, a candida infection, parasites, heavy metals etc.
