Also, you are correct in that I was not arguing a point. That is absolutely true. What I was doing was taking offense at lazy writing. That is also, true.

And speaking of true things, how true is Orwell for you? For any of you? Are you just quoting phrases from a single book? Have you read that book? Have you read Orwell so you understand the context of those words? His words? Have you read The Road to Wigan Pier? Have you read Keep the Aspidistra Flying? Have you read The Decline of the English Murder? Have you read Shooting an Elephant? Have you read Some Thoughts on the Common Toad? Have you read Down and Out in Paris and London? Have you read Burmese Days? Have you read Homage to Catalonia? Have you read Coming up for Air? Have you read, 1984, and Animal Farm?

In other words, are these 'true' things to you because you have read any of them?

Or, are you just cherry picking quotes from this author because that's what everyone else does and it's fashionable, and easy?

What's the point? Why drive all this home? Because then people who are taking notice and perhaps offense at posts by queenofsheeba may start to understand her motivation. Clear writing. And clear thinking. Hardly the stuff of censorship.
