Re: The Coming American Revolution
People people people, learn to read.
What did I say in my response to Innercalm original post? What did I say?
Or, what did I NOT say? I did NOT say to stop writing. Go read it people.
What I did say was stop posting drivel. And for gods sake, stop the lazy ass style of writing.
What I *did* say was praise Innercalm for "interesting, thought thought-provoking points". It's there, go read read it people.
I made two key points. After I gave praise, I stated the original post was a ranging mess. This is a true statement. Go read it. Hell, my history teacher would have handed back that paper and told me to not come back until I had expressed clear ideas.
The second point was that the 9/11 crap is crap. I am "debating" the efficacy of the use of that in the original post. As Spudlydoo states, it is a debate forum. I debate that idea.
But people people people, yes, that includes RyanD, Ascarillena, Innercalm, MatrixMaven, I did not urge Innercalm to stop posting. Read what I said. I am trying to get Innercalm to think and write clearly because he has ideas. Go read what I said.
Now, to quote Innercalm
" "The lady doth protest too much, methinks."
William Shakespeare
There is much to share on the topic of mind control. Influence is apparent even in the detractors.
I will continue even amongst the noize. ;-)"
I am flattered to think that I have all this power and mind control. I'll have to remind my partner of that next time I am losing in a discussion. Am I some plant placed here by TPTB? Boo. Did I scare everyone? Jesus H. Cristo... think people, think.
I will repeat what I exhorted Innercalm to do elsewhere, to which there was no response. Again. I am NOT saying stop writing. I have never said that. I am saying TO write. But write clearly. Post until the cows come home. Have at it. But FFS, some of your good ideas get lost in a minutia of freshman writing class drivel. THAT is what I have been saying. Write, but write clearly. In order to write clearly, one needs (try at least) to think clearly. As George Orwell states, "But if thought corrupts language, language can also corrupt thought." Check it out. He did write that.
I posted this elsewhere, but will do it again and will speak slowly so it is understood. Read, study, George Orwell's Politics and the English Language.
I will make it easy by posting a link:

Since Orwell is oft quoted, then study the damn thing. Understand what he is saying.
Now to repeat myself which is really aggravating but will do so to drive the point home, I was not and am not exhorting anyone to stop writing. I AM exhorting people to write clearly. Got it? That is hardly mind control or thought policing or whatever you think I have the power to do.
Finally, and this is a repeat of something that has gone unanswered. IC, everyone, write one true thing. If that does not make sense, then nothing anyone can say will make a whit of difference, and everything above is moot.
Hint, cherry picking blurbs, snippets from corners and crannies of the internet is NOT writing clearly. It is called quoting, plagerizing, repeating things. And it is far less likely to be a "true thing."
And if folks have not noticed, this is not telling people to stop writing. It is encouraging clear writing.
Write one true thing. Start there.
Boo!
