The Ragland Test is a simple test that can be done to see if one has a possible problem with their adrenal glands.
Here is how to do the test.
If you suspect hypoadrenia, have your doctor do a postural blood pressure check (Ragland's test) on you. If your doctor doesn't know what it is, teach him or her!
Lie on your back for 3-5 minutes, then have your blood pressure taken. Stand up and immediately have your blood pressure taken again.
If your systolic (the first number) doesn't rise at least a 4 to 10 points, suspect hypoadrenia. If your pressure drops, you are even more sure of hypoadrenia.
CAUTION: If your blood pressure drops noticeable, you may also feel a little faint upon standing.
