Hi,
I suffer from hypo too. I had a partial thyroidectomy many years ago, I get tested every year. Well the last test was normal, but I didn't believe it, I pressed the doc for more info, but he just kept saying I was fine. Well, I was not. I had every symptom (this is where they like to tell you you are imagining these things), I researched and found that I definitely had hypo. I had unexplained weight gain, dry skin, dry lifeless hair, premature aging, extreme tiredness, fibrocystic breast "disease".
You are deficient in Iodine.
Iodine is essential for the functioning of the thyroid. We don't get enough of this trace mineral in our diets. It is extremely important for the overall health. I use "Kelp" tablets from GNC, and I use "Lugols Iodine" I ordered online. You must monitor this diligently though, as too much
Iodine is not good at all. I only use about 2 drops of
Lugols 3 X week, and take a Kelp tab a couple of times a week. You have to moniter your dosage to "feel" what is best for you. Salt has been touted as having sufficient Iodine, I have used salt all my life and I had a goiter, so I don't believe the salt story.
To feel better you must get some
Iodine into your body quickly, get the Kelp at GNC, its only about $10.00 for 500 tabs, lasts forever. Good luck!
