I suffer from emphysema, been diagnosed many years ago. Keep walking every day just push yourself a little. Don’t get to the point of feeling that you are going to pass out. I carry n inhaler with me just in case I push too hard. It give me some relief.
I agree with you water is very important. I get severe cramps in my legs from dehydration. It is very painful but the cure is quite simple, just drink more water.
I find that unless I drink at least 5 glasses of water a day (I weigh 118 lbs) I will get cramps. Drinking water also has a long term effect of ameliorating my breathing problem.
Besides emphysema I also suffer from diabetes type 2, hypertension, high cholesterol and minor heart problems. I am 84 years young. So be encouraged. Keep walking and drinking water.
