My mother ha sbeen taking Brufen, a variation of ibuprofen, on Doc's recommendation for rheumatic pain. 9 weeks on this med, ended up with acute kidney failure. In hospital for 9 days, docs were appalled anyone would prescribe this med for someone who suffers high BP and is a diabetic. Her record now says, "no brufen, vastatin to be administered.
