Re: Candida, hypoglycemia, adrenals.

Thanks for the descriptive and thorough explanation!
I am basically trying to figure out if i have a candida overgrowth and that being my primary reason for the leaky gut. I have to say that it is, but question would be if it is still existent.

Why do you say the antibodies test are inaccurate for candida?

Regarding the hypoglycemia, you are right about it being the second type. When i feel the low cortisol symptoms, i have the low blood Sugar issues along with it. I took lots of oral b12 to correct a deficiency and for some reason it shot my cortisol through the roof and gave me really high cortisol symptoms (high blood Sugar after eating, panic attack and spacey after eating. checked the blood sugar. breahing issues got worse)Now that i'm off the b12 for a while, my old low cort symptoms are coming back. No idea how b12 relates to cortisol though.

I have not tried kefir, i am allergic to all dairy casein cheese whey and soy. I have been however, taking Culturelle and it has TRULY been working for me. I dont know fi you remember but a while back i posted about my digestive issues with bloating and painful gas from eating anything, along with food sensitivities . Those are decreased drastically through the recent elimination of allergic foods and also the use of Culturelle every night. Still not a cure but has been helping tons for intestinal health.

"Everyone has Candida, it is a normal part of the body. So if the test is showing no Candida then there is a problem with the test."

Funny that you mention this. I did some research on this and the validity and accuracy of the stool test that i had gotten. It was a CDSA by Genova through culturing. I found out that these tests are highly unreliable and culturing is "ancient" and unaccurate. The way they do these tests are really ...sketchy. I am going to get retested with metametrix, as they use DNA analysis to quantify and not estimate the bacteria count, as well as fungal and parasites, DNA gene testing for resistance to drugs/herbal therapy and can accurately test for anaerobes like bifidobacteria, which cultured tests have trouble doing.

What is your personal opinion... candida still a present problem? Am taking digestive enzymes with each meal, have gut allergic foods, probiotics, and aloe vera.

I forgot to mention, regardless of high or low cortisol states (i went through both as i wrote above with the whole b12 ordeal), if i consume Sugar or carbs my symptoms are way worse. Spacey, emotional, etc. and craving it constantly.
