Re: Candida, hypoglycemia, adrenals.
What were your cortisol results? Have you had pregnenolone or DHEA tests? Did you check these against the profiles available online (at, say, Dr. Lam's site)?
I don't know anything about candida. (But I get the feeling the longer I hang out here the more I'll pick up.)
I have heard that stress promotes a leaky gut. (And my guess is that a leaky gut promotes autoimmune/immune disorders (allergies, e.g.)):
"Learn how to deal with stress effectively. Research has shown that the intestine responds negatively to stress, during which the intestinal lining becomes leaky, absorption is less effective, and your body is unable to selectively take up the nutrients it needs."

Look for the section "Ways to Support Healthy Digestion".
I suggest easing up on the sweets for quenching the cravings. You could be spiking your blood sugar, which only causes more lows, thus taxing your adrenals more. Causing more stress, causing more leakiness, which may be a major causative factor in any bacterial problem you could have. It's hard, though. I crave sweets and often I just can't help myself.
