I don't have time to search for the specific links now, but absolutely!

Iodine removes them. You need the water to flush toxins, you need salt to squeeze toxins out of the kidneys, and the selenimethionine BINDS to mercury to ensure it is carried out of the body.

I don't remember about lead, but yes, Iodine chelates heavy metals.
